Creme Caramel

-5 eggs
-1 can of condense milk
-1 can of evaporated milk
-1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
-1 cup of sugar

-Whisker or blender
-A bowl (only if using whisker)
-Mold (any shape)
-Flat mold
-Wooded spoon

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. Heat up a pan at medium heat.
3. When pan is heated, add the cup of sugar, mix and mix with the wooded spoon, until is melted, make sure it doesn't burn.
4. Pour the caramel into the mold you will use, spread the caramel carefully covering the mold's walls. Let it cool.
5. In the bowl or the blender, add the can of condense milk, the can of evaporated milk,  the five eggs, and the vanilla extract, mix well.
6. Strain the mixture into the previous caramel mold.
7. In the flat mold, add water not too full and place the mold with the mixture. Bake for about 45 minutes.
8. After the 45 minutes, check if its ready using a toothpick.
9. When its ready, take it out and let it cool.
10. Unmold and refrigerate until time to serve it.

Homemade Pancakes

The following ingredients will make about 4 pancakes (more or fewer depending on the size). You may change the amounts of ingredients according to the number you wish to serve. If you want to make the double of pancakes just double the amount of each ingredient. 

-1 cup of all purpose flour
-3/4 of regular milk
-3 tablespoons of regular sugar
-1 egg
-3 tablespoons of melted butter
-1 butter stick
-1 teaspoon of baking power
-1 teaspoon of baking soda
-1 teaspoon of vanilla extract(opt.)

-Small Pan
-Egg Whisker

1. In a medium bowl, add flour, melted butter, egg, sugar, baking power, baking soda and vanilla extract or the flavored you want. Mix all ingredients with the whisker and add small amounts of milk little by little, until there's no more lumps.
2. At medium temperature, heat up a small pan, with a really small amount of butter.
3. When the butter is melted, add some mixture, until the pan is covered. 
4. You are only going to flip once, when you see bubbles.
5. When the second side is brown you'll know the pancake is ready.
6. Repeat steps 3-5 for the rest of the mixture. 
7. Finally, add syrup to your pancakes.

Chinese Fried Rice

Today's recipe is Chinese fried rice. For this recipe you can add or remove ingredients, it depends on you.Today I just made 2 cups of rice, but you can do more. For every cup of rice its 2 cups of water. This were the ingredients I used. Some people add chicken or shrimps.

2 cups of uncooked, long grain rice
4 cups of water
1 carrot chopped in little cubes
1/2 cup of peas
2 eggs
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
Cooking oil

  1. In a medium pot, boil 4 cups of  water.
  2. When water is boiling, add 2 cups of rice. Stir and cover.
  3. When rice is soft and all the water is absorbed, put it on a bowl to cool.
  4. In a good size pan, heat up some oil and cook the carrots and peas. Reserve them.
  5. Whisk 2 eggs.
  6. Repeat step 4, but instead of adding the vegetables add the rice. Fry it for a while.
  7. Add the eggs and mix.
  8. Now add the fried vegetables and the 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and mix. Add salt if needed.
                                                    And this is how it will look.

Agua de Horchata

Agua de horchata is a very common drink in much of Latin America. It can be for any type of occasion, and for any season.

Note: Beore adding sugar, taste to adjust to your personal taste. Maybe you would like more or less sugar. If you feel the consistency of the drink is too thick or dense for your palate, just add more water. Also, if you don't like milk don't add the milk cans. 

  1. 1 cup white rice
  2. 1 can evaporated milk(opt.)
  3. 1 can condensed milk(opt.)
  4. 1 cinnamon stick
  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  6. 4 tablespoons of sugar
  7. Ice cubes(opt.)

  • A pitcher
  • A blender
  • A strainer
  • A bowl

  1. Rinse 1 cup of white rise in a strainer.
  2. Transfer the white rise you rinsed to the bowl and add a stick of cinnamon.
  3. Cover the bowl with water for about 2 hours or more, until tender.
  4. When the rice and the cinnamon stick are tender, put it in the blender.
  5. Blend the ingredients well .
  6. Strain the mixture you blended over a pitcher.
  7. Add the evaporated, and condensed milk, and one teaspoon of vanilla extract and stir.
  8. Add 2 liters of water.
  9. Add sugar.
